General Public - G Job Duties Under general supervision, the HR Generalist serves as a point of contact in the Talent Acquisition Division of Human Resources & Professional Development and is responsible for assisting the Foundation with onboarding, recruitment & selection, recognition & retention, and support of volunteer and internship opportunities.
This position also provides administrative and technical support to other HR work units to include training and development, community engagement, compliance, and general administrative support.
Reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager.
Minimum Qualifications Human Resources - Knowledge of general human resources regulations and practices.
Knowledge of recruitment and selection procedures.
Knowledge of employee benefits programs to include wellness and other retention programs.
Office Administration - Knowledge of office systems, practices, procedures, and administration.
Customer Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
This includes setting and meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Computer Skills - Utilizes a personal computer with word processing, spreadsheet, and related software to effectively complete a variety of administrative tasks with reasonable speed and accuracy.
Interpersonal Relationships - Develops and maintains cooperative and professional relationships with employees and the public.
Effectively handles inquiries, complaints from or disputes with customers or employees.
Time Management - Plans and organizes daily work routine.
Estimates expected time of completion of elements of work and establishes a personal schedule accordingly.
Implements work activities in accordance with priorities and estimated schedules.
Critical Thinking - Strong analytical skills to include using logic and reasoning to understand, analyze, and evaluate complex situation and research information to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to the situation.
Communication - Excellent ability to effectively listen and understand directions, information and ideas verbally and in writing.
Ability to handle a variety of human resources issues with tact and diplomacy and in a confidential manner.
Mathematics - Ability to perform basic arithmetic and simple calculations.
Additional Considerations Previous experience in an Agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia and knowledge of DHRM policy and procedures preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
